Located on the Delaware River with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, DRS provides stevedoring services for Beckett Street and Del Monte Terminals, which are owned by the South Jersey Port Corporation. Both Beckett Street and Del Monte Terminals are conveniently located with direct access to major interstate highways making it easily accessible to vessels delivering winter and warm weather shipments. CSX and Norfolk Southern rail lines also serve Beckett Street and Del Monte.
The major cargoes DRS handles at these New Jersey ports include palletized bananas, steel, plywood, project cargoes and cocoa beans. DRS’s Camden location also sees such international cargos as high end tinplate and galvanized coil steel where a premium is placed on skilled handling.

Beckett Street has four deep water berths (30 to 40 foot depth MLW), direct vessel transfer to and from rail lines or truck trailers, and more than 900,000 square feet of warehouse space. In that role, DRS offloaded 34 million boxes of palletized bananas, pineapples and melons from 120 vessels in 2008. This represents one of the single largest volumes of imported palletized fruit in the United States, and because of that DRS has become known globally for its precise and damage-free handling of perishable products. Del Monte Terminal has refrigerated warehouse space onsite and direct connections to both CSX and Norfolk Southern rail lines and direct access to major interstate highways for truck transport.
