DRS operates at the State-owned Port of Wilmington, a 350-acre deepwater terminal that handles palletized fruit, beef, automobiles, and dry bulk, such as petro-coke, road salt, and magnesite. With 7 berths including one dedicated to automotive/Ro-Ro, the Port of Wilmington has a reputation throughout the globe for more cold storage space than any other US terminal. DRS specializes in loading automobiles at Wilmington, utilizing a full complement of quality supervision, top-end equipment, extensive IT software for real-time loading, plus timely scanning and accurate stowage reports. In Wilmington, DRS also handles steel slabs, coils and plate, and concentrates on a variety of important bulk materials including road salt, coal, magnesite, and supersacks.
