Roger Youngren This modern terminal is a 44,000 square foot facility that features an expansive passenger waiting area with embarkation and debarkation processing and luggage lay down. DRS provides overall facility management, luggage handling, traffic services, security and vessel storing services at this facility which was once a naval welding shop. Mobile check-in counters can easily be configured to conform to each Cruise Line's preferred set-up for maximizing passenger processing. There are onsite facilities for US Customs, USDA, and INS, all constructed in adherence to agency guidelines. A covered skywalk adjacent to the terminal runs to a fully articulated boarding platform (FMT) located on the pier, enabling gangways to reach passenger doors to a height of 30'. The skywalk is accessible through a head house containing an elevator, escalator, and steps. The 910' by 80' (length/width) pier has two berths: the primary berth is 1,060' in length (including the mooring dophin); the other is 760'. Each berth is dredged to 30' at MWL. Importantly, parking facilities handle up to 800 vehicles, facilitating arrival and departure of passengers. |
